A 65-year-old man was found dead on Disneyland property in Anaheim, California, near the resort's south entrance on Sunday afternoon. The discovery occurred on a sidewalk between the resort hotels and a park entrance, a location distinct from the main gate that provides easier access for guests staying at nearby accommodations. Anaheim Police Department Sgt. Eric Anderson told Fox News Digital on Monday that officers responded to a report of an unconscious man shortly before 1:45 p.m. Sunday. Upon arrival, the police found the man on the sidewalk and pronounced him dead at the scene. Anderson stated that investigators found no signs of trauma or foul play, and his death appeared to be from natural causes. The specific cause of death will be determined by the coroner's office, which was responsible for removing the body after officers waited at the scene. The man's identity has not been released, though Anderson indicated that any identification would likely come from the coroner's office. Anderson noted that the deceased had previously come into contact with Anaheim Police Department homeless liaison officers who regularly check on individuals experiencing homelessness in the area. These prior interactions were part of outreach efforts to offer assistance and inform individuals about potential law violations, and were not related to arrests or criminal activity. A beer can was found near the man, but investigators did not know whether it had any connection to his condition or death. Disneyland Resort Media Relations confirmed that Anaheim police responded to the incident but did not address additional questions, referring inquiries to the police department. Visual evidence from the scene depicted police tape cordoning off the sidewalk under the large Disneyland Resort signage, while a black screen blocked public view of the investigation area.
