Privacy Policy
We built NewsNovo to respect your attention, and that extends to your data. Here is exactly what we collect, why we collect it, and the choices you have.

What we collect
We try to collect as little as we can. When you read NewsNovo, our servers and content delivery network keep standard access logs — your IP address, browser type, the pages you requested, and timestamps — which keep the site running and secure.
If you sign up for our newsletter, we collect the email address you give us and the fact that you subscribed. If you write to the newsroom, we keep your message and contact details so we can reply. We do not ask for more than the task in front of us requires.
How we use it
We use server logs to operate, secure, and improve the site, and to understand in aggregate which stories readers reach. We use newsletter email addresses to send the newsletter you asked for and nothing else. We use messages you send us to respond to you. We do not sell your personal information.
Cookies & analytics
We use a small number of cookies and similar technologies — some are necessary for the site to function, and some help us measure traffic in aggregate so we know which reporting lands. Where analytics are used, we configure them to minimise the personal data involved. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings; the site will still work, though some preferences may not be remembered.
Third parties & infrastructure
We rely on a few trusted providers to deliver NewsNovo: a content delivery network and hosting to serve pages quickly and safely, and an email provider to send the newsletter. These providers process data only on our instructions and only as needed to provide their service. We do not share your personal information with advertisers or data brokers.
Data retention
We keep access logs only for as long as they are useful for security and operations, then they are discarded. We keep your newsletter subscription until you unsubscribe, and correspondence for as long as needed to handle your request and our records.
Your rights
You can unsubscribe from the newsletter at any time using the link in any issue. You can ask us what personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct or delete it, or object to certain processing. Write to the newsroom and we will respond within a reasonable time.
