Ryan Seacrest has described his method for maintaining a lean physique at age 51 as a practice of creating balance rather than adhering to strict restriction. The "American Idol" host shared this perspective in a social media response to a viral Instagram post that showed him shirtless next to his bike. In a follow-up video captioned "What’s your idea of a perfect day?", Seacrest outlined a routine that combines physical exertion with dietary indulgence. He stated that his approach involves cycling 30 miles and stopping at a bakery on the way home, noting that cinnamon buns are "kind of my weakness." Seacrest explained that he also gardens produce and makes pizza, while drinking wine and continuing to workout the next day. He characterized this lifestyle as "health and enjoyment wrapped into one," adding that balance is "not always a given, but it’s created." The initial Instagram post, which depicted Seacrest in a shredded physique, generated reactions from other celebrities. "Dancing with the Stars" pro Gleb Savchenko commented, "Let’s goo!!! Shredded." Actor and singer Nick Rashad Burroughs questioned the host's appearance, writing, "This is what Ryan Seacrest looked like with a short off the whole time?!?" Seacrest has previously documented his fitness regimen through social media, including a video from last month showing him performing resistance training during a beach vacation. That footage featured combinations of squats with overhead dumbbell presses, as well as skull crushers with a barbell paired with reverse crunches. The radio host has publicly credited his personal trainer, Dodd Romero, who also works with celebrities such as Lenny Kravitz and Jennifer Lopez. Fox News Digital reached out to both Seacrest and Romero for comment regarding the recent posts.
