OpenAI has projected that its annualized revenue will reach or exceed $70 billion by 2026, a figure disclosed to investors during discussions for a new funding round. The company reported that its annualized revenue stood at approximately $50 billion as of the end of September. These projections form part of negotiations for a capital raise that could value the company at over $30 billion. OpenAI is currently in talks with United Arab Emirates-based funds, including MGX, to serve as anchor investors for the round. The discussions reportedly center on a pre-money valuation of $1.4 trillion. Some investors noted a discrepancy in revenue reporting, which OpenAI attributed to the use of accounting methods similar to those employed by Anthropic.
