Interparfums, Inc. reported net sales of $430 million for the third quarter of 2026, a figure that remained flat compared to the prior year period. The fragrance company announced the results on October 20, 2026, noting that European based operations grew 4%, while United States based sales declined 7%.

Jean Madar, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Interparfums, attributed the mixed results to strong performance in Europe offsetting weaker demand in the United States. He stated that the ongoing war in the Middle East represented a 1% headwind for the third quarter and a 2% headwind for the first nine months of 2026. The company’s net sales for the first nine months ended September 30, 2026, represented a 1% increase from the same period in 2025.

In its European based operations, Interparfums saw organic growth of 3% and a 1% contribution from new brands in the third quarter. Coach fragrances were a primary driver, with sales rising 23% in the third quarter and 15% for the first nine months of 2026. Montblanc fragrance sales returned to growth, increasing 12% in the third quarter and 8% year-to-date, driven by new launches including Montblanc Legend Elixir and Montblanc Explorer Infinite. Jimmy Choo fragrance sales rose 1% in the third quarter and 5% for the first nine months, while Lacoste sales increased 4% in the third quarter after a challenging first half.

United States based operations faced distinct challenges, with Madar citing supply chain disruptions that delayed giftset shipments for select brands. These delays represented approximately $10 million in sales that will be recognized in the fourth quarter. Excluding this impact, Madar stated that United States sales would have been flat for the third quarter and increased 6% for the first nine months. GUESS, the company’s largest United States based brand, saw fragrance sales rise 3% in the third quarter and 7% year-to-date.

Other United States based brands showed varied results. Donna Karan/DKNY fragrance sales declined 9% in the third quarter due to innovation phasing and giftset delays, though they grew 4% for the first nine months. Ferragamo fragrance sales dropped 22% in the third quarter but were down only 2% year-to-date. Roberto Cavalli fragrance sales increased 4% in the third quarter and 6% year-to-date despite a difficult macro-economic environment in the Middle East.

The average dollar/euro exchange rate for the third quarter was 1.15, compared to 1.17 in the prior year period, resulting in a 0.4% foreign exchange loss. For the first nine months, the average rate was 1.16 compared to 1.12 in 2025, leading to a 1.5% foreign exchange gain. Interparfums will issue full financial results on November 4, 2026, and hold a conference call on November 5, 2026.
