The amendment itself changes nothing material. What it corrects does. Faraday Future Intelligent Electric Inc. (Nasdaq: FFAI) filed an 8-K/A with the SEC on September 4, 2026, acknowledging clerical errors in the exhibit list of its original September 3 current report. The corrected list now cleanly identifies the central document: a Consulting Services Agreement between FF AI-Robotics Inc. and AIBOT, Inc., dated August 27, 2026, along with an amendment to that same agreement.
The case for watching this more closely than a routine exhibit fix comes down to timing and that amendment detail. The consulting agreement was signed August 27. A revision to its terms came before the initial 8-K was even filed. By September 1, Faraday Future had issued a press release on the matter, now listed as Exhibit 99.1 in the corrected filing. The original 8-K arrived September 3, with August 31 as the date of earliest event. The corrective 8-K/A landed the following day. That sequence, from signing to renegotiation to press release to filing to correction in under two weeks, suggests the arrangement was moving fast and the first attempt at disclosure was compressed.
The risk is in the read-through. An 8-K/A correcting exhibit labeling is not, by SEC form design, a material event. CFO Koti Meka signed the amendment with an explicit note that no other changes were made to the original filing. The document provides no financial terms and no contract scope for the AIBOT arrangement. The counterargument worth naming: treating an administrative filing correction as a signal risks manufacturing narrative from paperwork.
On balance, the amendment is a formality. The Consulting Services Agreement between FF AI-Robotics Inc. and AIBOT, Inc. is the line to watch. What Faraday Future said in the September 1, 2026 press release about that relationship is where the actual substance of this story lives.
