Adam Copeland defeated Steve Maclin in the main event of Maple Leaf Pro Wrestling's Northern Rising card at Maple Leaf Gardens in Toronto. The victory capped a street fight that saw Copeland achieve a long-held personal goal of competing inside the historic venue, a place he first visited as a child to watch professional wrestling. Copeland had previously told OutKick Dropkick that he missed the opportunity to perform there during his tenure with WWE, which had moved its events to larger arenas as its popularity grew. Now, through Maple Leaf Pro Wrestling and All Elite Wrestling, Copeland stepped into the ring at the facility where he began his fan journey.

The match against Maclin, a former U.S. Marine who had been pursuing Copeland in recent weeks, featured high-risk maneuvers that underscored Copeland's status in the industry. The 52-year-old suplexed Maclin from the ring apron between an upside-down ladder and delivered a splash from the top turnbuckle that crashed Maclin through a table outside the ring. Maclin responded by suplexing Copeland onto a ladder, and the bout saw interference from Maclin's wife, Deonna Purrazzo, who sprayed Copeland and the referee. Rhino evened the odds by spearing both Maclin and Purrazzo, allowing Copeland to regain control. Copeland ultimately won by spearing Maclin through the ropes from the ramp and covering him for the pin.

Ahead of the main event, Josh Alexander and Stu Grayson contested the Undisputed MLP Canadian Championship. Grayson entered as the interim champion, while Alexander, returning from a knee injury, claimed to be the legitimate titleholder. The match was marked by high-risk spots, including Grayson crashing into security personnel after being pushed off the top rope. Alexander received assistance from Don Callis, who provided a screwdriver that Alexander used on Grayson before hitting two C4 piledrivers to secure the pinfall victory.

Two other title matches took place during the night. Priscilla Kelly retained her MLP Canadian Women's Championship against Nikki Storm, maintaining her title reign which began in September when she defeated Gisele Shaw at Maple Leaf Pro Wrestling's Mayhem event. In another singles contest, Andrade El Idolo defended his AEW National Championship against Rohan Raja. Despite Raja's competitive effort, Andrade used his superior skill to retain the belt, including a powerslam from the ring apron to the floor.

The MLP Canadian Tag Team Championship changed hands when Grizzled Young Veterans defeated 1st Faction. James Drake and Zack Gibson of Grizzled Young Veterans overcame Brent Banks and Sheldon Jean of 1st Faction to become the new champions. The match saw interference from Bryce Hansen, who distracted the referee before a pin could be counted, shifting momentum to Grizzled Young Veterans. This victory ended 1st Faction's reign, which lasted approximately 191 days, making Grizzled Young Veterans the third tag team to hold the championship since Maple Leaf Pro Wrestling returned to prominence.
