Eton Pharmaceuticals and Aquestive Therapeutics have entered into an exclusive license and supply agreement for LIBERVANT, a buccal film formulation of diazepam. The partnership grants Eton rights to the medication across the United States and its territories, positioning the company to handle commercial distribution for a treatment designed for seizure clusters in epilepsy patients.

The drug holds Orphan Drug designation, a status that typically supports development efforts for conditions affecting small patient populations. Aquestive, which focuses on innovative delivery technologies, will supply the product to Eton under the new terms. Both companies are publicly traded on the Nasdaq exchange, with Eton operating under the ticker ETON and Aquestive under AQST.

Eton expects LIBERVANT to become commercially available in April 2027, a timeline that remains contingent on final approval from the U.S. Food and Drug Administration. The announcement was made on October 14, 2026, marking a significant step in the commercialization pathway for this differentiated treatment option.
