Dwayne Johnson posted a tribute to Benjamin Satterley and his family after the professional wrestler died on Sunday at the age of 40. Satterley, known in the ring as Pac, had previously competed in WWE as Adrian Neville and Neville before becoming one of the first wrestlers to join All Elite Wrestling (AEW) in 2019. During his career, he won multiple championships in both AEW and WWE.
In an Instagram video, Johnson expressed sorrow over the news, describing the professional wrestling community as a tight-knit group united by a shared passion for the sport. He stated that when a young and talented member of that community is lost, it causes significant pain, particularly when a life is cut short. Johnson addressed AEW owner Tony Khan, fellow wrestler QT Marshall, and the AEW locker room directly, offering his condolences for their loss. He wished the Satterley family love and light as they endure their grief.
Wrestling company WWE posted a tribute graphic to Neville before its Monday Night Raw broadcast. AEW was scheduled to air a tribute special of its Dynamite show on Wednesday night in honor of Satterley. The wrestler was found dead in Illinois on Sunday, hours after performing at the All Out event. Johnson serves as a board member of TKO, the parent company that owns WWE.
