Michigan's employer insurance market now has its first entry point for GRAIL's Galleri multi-cancer early detection blood test.
Priority Health, a nationally recognized nonprofit health plan, has agreed to offer Galleri to the employer groups it covers, making it the first health plan in the state to take that step.
GRAIL (Nasdaq: GRAL), based in Menlo Park, California, describes its mission as detecting cancer early, when it can be cured. The read-through is clear on the access side.
Whether plan-level coverage translates into ordering volumes that move the needle for a public company is a different question.
