Pittco Management, LLC, the Memphis, Tennessee investment firm, has appointed Grant Self as Analyst, Investments, assigning him to analyze, underwrite, and monitor public and private equity fund managers within the firm's managed funds strategy.
What the announcement does not resolve is how much of this work was already in place. The mandate Self's role covers the fund manager lifecycle at both ends.
Analyzing and underwriting new managers is the entry point; ongoing monitoring of existing relationships is the continuing work.
