Luxshare raises $3.09 billion in Hong Kong and slides 5% on debut

The case for Luxshare's Hong Kong listing looked solid on paper: the AirPods manufacturer priced shares at HK$63.28 and collected HK$24.27 billion ($3.09 billion) from investors. The complication arrived the same day.

Shares slid more than 5% in debut trading, a gap between IPO price and market price that immediately puts the question of real demand on the table.

What the raise was worth HK$24.27 billion ($3.09 billion) is not a rounding error.

Luxshare, already trading in Shenzhen, chose Hong Kong as a second listing venue, a move that signals intent to reach a broader investor base than mainland exchanges alone can provide.
