What complicates the read is timing: Farmers State Bank customers will not move to Hawthorn Bank's platform until sometime in the first quarter of 2027, meaning Hawthorn now carries two parallel banking infrastructures through year-end.
The footprint addition is real. Hawthorn Bank now operates twenty-seven banking locations across northern, central, western, and mid-Missouri, with one location in Kansas.
