Eight crypto platforms, HTX among them, have been added to the EU's Russia sanctions list, with transactions barred from August 23.
The others named are EXMO, Rapira, BitPapa, Aifory Pro, WhiteBird, NoOnecrypto, and Exnode.
The case for reading this as a meaningful enforcement escalation is real; what complicates it is how unfamiliar most of the list will be to European traders.
What the designation means After August 23, EU persons and entities are prohibited from transacting with any of the eight platforms. HTX is the most recognized name in the group.
