Elon Musk announced Monday that it may be "time to sue" Representative Ro Khanna, Democrat of California, after the congressman claimed that Musk's dismantling of the United States Agency for International Development may have "sentenced" millions of children overseas to death.
The threat escalated a running dispute between the SpaceX and Tesla chief executive and one of Silicon Valley's most prominent progressive lawmakers over the human cost of the Department of Government Efficiency's foreign-aid cuts.
Khanna's Accountability Argument The confrontation traces to comments Khanna made Saturday on the "I've Had It" podcast, where he called on Democrats to pursue accountability for Musk if the party recaptures control of the House or the Senate in the 2026 midterms.
Khanna said Musk should be subpoenaed and investigated for his role leading DOGE.
