Revenue and assets under management fell sharply at DeFi Technologies Inc. (NASDAQ: DEFT) in the second quarter of 2026 as crypto prices compressed both the fee base and the value of the company's digital holdings.
The case for the underlying business rests on a separate number: CAD 22.8 million in net inflows at the company's Valour exchange-traded product arm, more than 40% of which management attributed directly to institutional outreach.
Average AUM for the quarter came in at CAD 471.5 million, with quarter-end AUM sliding to CAD 397.2 million. Revenue dropped to CAD 7.8 million from CAD 11.2 million in the prior period.
The drag had two sources: lower average AUM and CAD 16.3 million in negative mark-to-market adjustments on digital holdings and venture investments, including a markdown of the company's 5% stake in AMINA Bank, all of which ran through reported revenue under the company's broker-dealer accounting structure.
