The case for Chemung Financial Corporation (Nasdaq: CHMG) as a steady capital-return story got a small reinforcement Tuesday.
The board of directors approved a $0.02 per share increase in the quarterly cash dividend, lifting the payment to $0.36 per share.
What complicates the tidy read is the pace that has built up behind it: total dividend increases since the beginning of 2025 now stand at $0.05 per share, a 16.1% advance from where the bank started less than two years ago.
Payment is set for October 1, 2026, to common stockholders of record as of the close of business on September 17, 2026. Tomson said the board was pleased with the decision.
