Adjusted EPS of $0.39 came in at consensus, but revenue reached $2.1 billion, missing the $2.15 billion estimate and running 8% below the year-ago period.
Part of that gap traces to calendar arithmetic: the comparable quarter a year earlier contained an extra week that management estimates contributed roughly 7% to those sales.
