Amrize names Zane Nielsen chief accounting officer in first accounting leadership change since Holcim spin-off

The case for the appointment is straightforward: Nielsen already knows the books.

Amrize Ltd (NYSE: AMRZ) named him Chief Accounting Officer and Corporate Controller effective September 1, 2026, replacing Richard Hoffman as the company's principal accounting officer.

What complicates the clean read-through is that Amrize has been a standalone NYSE-listed company only since June 2025, and this is already its first change in the seat that signs off on external financial reporting.

Nielsen, 49, has served as Amrize's Head of External Reporting since the company's spin-off from Holcim Ltd in June 2025.
