America's Car-Mart's four-day waiver extension signals deal talks are alive but unresolved

The case for America's Car-Mart, Inc. (NASDAQ: CRMT) clearing its credit crisis rests, as of September 4, 2026, on the company's own read of progress in talks.

Silver Point Finance, LLC, administrative and collateral agent on Car-Mart's Credit and Guaranty Agreement, agreed to extend a covenant-default waiver by four days, through September 11, 2026.

In distressed credit, a four-day extension is less a vote of confidence than confirmation that negotiations have not yet collapsed.

The relevant clock started October 30, 2025, when Car-Mart signed the Credit and Guaranty Agreement with Silver Point.
